Overview of Unit 1: Identity... Because Kingdom living comes from the inside out.
Galations 5:1
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Journal 3: Let's copy this verse and reflect: What does my freedom look like? (When I'm living without fear, second-guessing myself all the time, without drama, without insecurities....If I am living at my prime, what kind of person are people encountering?)
- Small groups and then large group sharing time.
A thought from Steve and Wendy Backlund in Igniting Faith in 40 Days...
"An apple tree will produce apples because of what it is. When it is young, it will have no apples; but it still must say, I am an apple tree. Is it lying at those times? No. It would be lying to say anything else.
Many Christians have a hard time saying who God says they are when no fruit is manifesting in that particular area. Could they be too young in that truth to be fruitful? Could they be in a seasons where that dimension of the Christian life is being pruned back for future growth? Either way, it does not mean they are lying when they say, I am anointed, prosperous, delivered, healed, righteous, strong, etc... Joel 3:10 says, Let the weak say I am strong. We don't deny the fact of weakness, but we focus on the greater truth that we are strong in Him."
The Bible is full of promises and identities that God gives us upon both salvation and when He calls us into something new. However, life is full of baggage and we can so easily build strongholds by adding up experiences. It is really useful to begin by weeding our hearts to remove the lies we believe. What names or identities have you gained that don't align with that fully alive freedom that Galations is talking about?
- Finish Journal 3: Pray that Jesus will reveal these and then record them in journal three. Then pray and ask God to reveal what his actual truth is about you in your identity and calling.
