Consider one show or movie and you watched over the weekend. How do you think this piece portrayed women? Were they main characters? Did they speak as much as men did? Were they portrayed as intelligent, assertive, complex characters? Did you see any stereotypes portrayed? How would this piece influence a young girl to view herself? 

Part 1: Explanation? What reasons do you believe could be playing into why most women are generally paid less than men who work the same jobs? 

Part 2: Does it Matter? 

Think about a career that you might like to pursue when you get older. 

Is there a character who has inspired you to want to pursue that career? (Or avoid a certain career?) Explain

Are men and women portrayed accurately and fairly in your career choice in TV shows and movies? Explain.
